- Record and categorise your payments. Add dates, descriptions and your own customisable categories. You can also change who paid, if you want to record for your partner while they are doing something else.

- Use Duopay to track all your outgoings, including your private transactions. Useful if you want to see exactly where all of your money is going. Since each partner has their own Duopay account, only you can see your transactions, not your partner. It also won't be considered in the settlements.

- When you create a settlement, the period is captured with all the transactions. Here you can see who paid more and who owes who. The owing partner sends the money to settle. All settlements are listed and can easily be referenced. You can also configure monthly auto settlements.

You can update your team name in the Team Settings section. Click your team name in the top right corner, before your profile picture. In the dropdown menu, select "Team Settings". Simply enter the new name and click save.

Categories that are already assigned to transactions cannot be deleted.

A recurring transaction is one that occurs on a monthly basis. For example, rent, Netflix, or other bills. Instead of manually adding it each month, you can configure Duopay to do it for you automatically.

Click "Recurring Transactions" in the navigation menu. Click the big plus button in the top right corner. Fill out the details: amount, category, who pays it and give it a description. Finally, select the day of the month that Duopay should create it. Typically, the day the money leaves your bank account.

A settlement is record of all transaction since the last settlement. When you create a settlement, the transactions since starting with Duopay, or since the last settlement up until midnight the previous day are grouped together. They are then listed in the "Settlements" page. You can view the settlement, who owes who, the settlement requirement, charts and all the associated transactions, filter, search, etc.

To create a settlement, go to the “Dashboard” page and click the "Create new settlement" button.

Once a settlement has been created, you cannot delete the transactions associated with it.

A private transaction is visible only to you (not to your partner). Use it for personal expenses that you want to track. They will be associated with any settlement created in your team, but they will still only be viewable to you. Private transactions are not included in the charts or settlement calculations.

Yes you can, you can upgrade or downgrade your plan at any time. Click your team name in the top right corner, before your profile picture. In the dropdown menu, select "Team Settings". Under the "Team Billing" section, click the "Manage" button. You will be redirected to Stripe (our payment provider) where you can change your plan.

The Dashboard shows all transactions, not included in a settlement. You can add and delete transactions. You can view the current category breakdown, search and filter for transactions, and see the current settlement requirements. You can also view the last settlement and configure auto settlements.

The All Transactions view shows every transaction across all settlements, giving you a complete overview of your expenses and payments.

Charts provide visual summaries of your spending and payments, breaking down totals by category. The charts on the dashboard show statistics about all transactions created since the last settlement. The settlement charts show statistics for just that settlement period. Whereas the "All Transactions" page shows statistics for all transactions ever created.
